It’s all about budget-friendly projects these days and today we’re talking about how and where you can make small changes for big impact. Check out your guide by space below for inspiration on changing things up.

Kid-friendly spaces

Need to keep the kids occupied without worrying about what they’re coloring on? Try using a glossy field tile like our 4”x4” Fresh White tile that is easy to wipe off most coloring materials. For added security seal the grout to keep it fresh all year long.

Glass tile also has the same effect with a variety of tile selections available. Aquamarine adds a pop of color, while Allegro White keeps it classy and functional with no added stress. Each option is available under $5/square foot.

Get the kids involved in a smaller tiling project and consider tiling a bookshelf or their play kitchens with a quick mosaic backsplash so even the smallest of residents get a refreshed space.

Living Areas

Transform the spaces that get the most traffic. From entryways, living rooms to mud and laundry rooms, these make for great DIY projects you can accomplish in a weekend with a small amount of tile needed.

Take the mudroom and laundry room, with a larger format tile like Dragonfly on the walls or Timber Picket for a wood-look on the floors or Castlerock for a darker mood, you can take your space from builder grade to custom-made overnight.

Give your living room or bedroom a tiled take on the traditional wainscot with mosaics like the Bayou Herringbone mosaic for some texture and depth or the Casacade mosaic for a more zen-like feel.

Swapping out your fireplace surround is also a simple DIY to warm up your space.

Kitchens

Update your backsplash with budget-friendly hexagon mosaic options like Gardenia (available in black or white) or Thunderhead Gray to match your style. Or get creative and tile a feature wall with open shelving for a new twist on storage.
