The Game Plan | All-Star Renovation Challenge Week 1

Posted June 10, 2020

And we’re off! It’s week 1 of the All-Star Renovation Challenge and man oh man are there some great spaces to be completely transformed. Thanks to Behr Paint and FrogTape for the added support for each All-Star.

Demo is well underway and prep for these diamonds in the rough is starting to take shape.

This week Nicole of Simply Aligned Home is making room to take her half-bath to a full, by taking some square feet from her laundry room for the expansion. Her how-to is a must-read. You can find it on the All-Star Renovation Challenge homepage.

Amy of Her Tool Belt is finally getting around to redoing her master suite after a decade of saying “I’ll upgrade it later!” It is finally later and she couldn’t be any more excited to give her space a facelift.

M+B Home Designer, Emily is taking back her laundry room and making it a functional and beautiful space for her to tackle the mounds of dirty clothes from her four wonderful boys.

Taking on her second bathroom in her home, Jessie of Eye in the Detail shares a quick look back at her Season 4 renovation. And gives us a sneak peek of what she has up her sleeve as an All-Star.

Kelsey and Ryan have been hard at work dismantling their builder-grade master bath to add their own personal style to the space. And man do they have their work cut out for them, luckily they have Ryan’s crazy socks to add a little humor to keep them going.

Woodshop Diaries, Shara is helping out her parents with a renovation to upgrade their bathroom to a place they want to spend a little more time in.

Designing duo Lindi and Russell of Love Create Celebrate are taking a new challenge as they break ground on a brand-new outdoor playhouse for their young kids to enjoy. We can’t wait to see how this turns out and get the inside scoop on all the how-to’s they’ll share with us all.

Virginia of Fynes Designs is tackling her basement to make it a shared rental space complete with a bathroom, kitchenette and living space. But first, she’s working to repair some damage from a flood and offers some great insight on how to best remove damaged wood to help prevent mold from moving in.

Get all the renovation details and see the progress here. Be sure to stay tuned as voting starts next week!
