Renovation Challenge Week 4: Babies, Pups and Boo Boo’s

With only two weeks left we’ve seen a lot of great work. Even the family dogs have gotten in on the renovation action this week as we inch closer to final reveals.
“It has been so amazing to see what everyone has done in the Renovation Challenge,” said KariAnne Wood of Thistlewood Farms. “I’m so excited to talk more on the progress and some of my favorites this week.”
While the judges love the tile selection from Cribbs Style, they know that it can be hard to keep the lines straight and applaud Brooke for a job well done on the install.
JKath has made a come back with a great install in their shower and flooring with some beautiful penny tile to accent the stone Statuario Block tile over the tub.
Even the judges have a special place in their hearts for a good use of penny tile.
Lolly Jane is adding a lot of great color accents, especially the pink floral wall paper that is a great compliment to the Allegro Fan tile Kelli has paired together for her bathroom renovation.
The blue cabinets Love and Renovations has in the kitchen redo really pop with the white subway tile Amanda Hendrix put in this week, really transforming the space. The built in seating is also coming along adding more character to the space.
“The space is on fleek,” said judge Ashely Mills of The Handmade Home.
Mindi Carwin of My Love 2 Create has really impressed the judging panel with her wet saw skills cutting the perfect circle to account for the shower drain in her new bath. Her tips on tile selection to combine so much great tile without being overwhelming is amazing.
This week also brought on some baby action, as Katie and John of Sew Woodsy, took their adorable baby shopping for supplies and even supervised the tile install. Major points for the baby and progress on tiling and grouting the floor.
“Oh man that floor tile is drool-worthy, we are loving the tile from Start at Home Decor,” said judging duo Jamin and Ashely.
So much great progress and this is a great time in the competition to see how everyone’s vision is really coming to life.
