Renovation Challenge Week 3: Major Tile Envy

Officially at the half-way point, and we have seen so many different spaces getting demoed for their makeovers. Such an exciting time in the Spring Renovation Challenge.

This brings new meaning to spring cleaning and we couldn’t be happier. We know there is a lot of transformations going on around the country and Canada for our 16 participants. Let’s check in with our judges KariAnne Wood of Thistlewood Farms and Jamin & Ashley Mills of The Handmade Home, to see what their initial thoughts are on all the progress. 

Here are some snippets from the judging panel’s Facebook Live sessions.

First up is KariAnne Wood:

“Amazing inspiration from this kitchen by House of Handmade’s Katie Farrer, I can’t wait to for the cabinets to be installed.”

“OMG, Lolly Jane’s tile selection is amazing, and I love the great tip you gave everyone to play around with templates to help in their projects.”

“Cribbs Style, you’ve totally inspired me, that penny tile is amazing and I can’t wait to see what you do with it.”

Up next, are the comedic wedded duo, Jamin & Ashley Mills, who have a bad case of tile envy.

“My Love 2 Create’s Mindi Carwin, we love the tile selection — it’s the marble version of what we have in our basement.”

“Brooke Larson of Start at Home Decor, we totally feel your pain with the water damage, that was every room we did in our home.”

“Vanessa Francis, we love the tile inspiration and it’s one of our favorites tiles.”

“Bachelorette Pad Flip’s Jennifer McMurray, we are loving the white herringbone brick tile, it looks amazing.” 

“JKath, that 80’s style bathroom reno is looking good.”

So much more commentary from our judges on our Facebook page but here are some final thoughts thoughts from judge, Jamin Mills, “We’ve been in your shoes as so much changes mid-project and just one day can change everything. Keep up the hard work. We are excited to see everyone’s big reveal.”
