One week! Can you believe all that time we had on the countdown clock and now instead of weeks, it’s just days.
Time truly does fly by when you’re having fun. And with all the renovation excitement the rally cap makes a comeback thanks to judge, Jamin Mills. The annual tradition lives on as the judges check out all the progress from week five of the Fall Renovation Challenge.
This week Amy brings on the charm with her kitchen nearing completion. “Your choice of the honed marble tile mixed with a thrifty steal with your amazing chandelier shows you can mix high and low and that not every renovation needs to cost a lot,” said KariAnne Wood.
Another great pairing is Emily’s paint color and tiling, it goes oh so perfectly together. Sara D. is also tying her space together with new light fixtures and brass details, that have judge Jamin Mills anxious to see the whole bathroom come together. Meanwhile, Amanda is hard at work making a new name for her now old Mario Kart bathroom, as she wraps up tiling and begins decorating.
Last week, we saw Kelly master her tile work with her mosaic entry mat and this week she took on her staircase to find a solution to tie in both spaces. See what she came up with in her renovation photo gallery.
Joy has been teasing us all only showing parts of her bathroom, careful not to show off the bigger picture until the final reveal. Kendra is also prepping us for her big reveal after tiling up to her ceiling, an unexpected move as a first-timer.
Wowing all the judges is Patti, “That vanity!” said KaiAnne. “Seriously it goes so perfectly and really makes the white grout pop.”
Michele is working hard on wrapping up her entryway with a wallpaper selection that picks up the wood tones in her tile to bring a cohesive look to her space.
Laura has also made some incredible progress. “Laura’s whole space looks amazing, but I’m not seeing your sink,” said judge Ashley Mills who has some serious sink envy. “I need to see that sink!”
Week five has also shown remarkable progress from two of our designers taking on almost all gut renovations and one build from scratch. Shara who started with an empty plot of land now has cabinets, lighting and yep…even a backsplash. Similarly Virginia now also has cabinets and is working on installing her tile and countertops as we round off the final week of the competition.
Only seven more days until the big reveals. You won’t want to miss this.
