Renovation Challenge Week 5: It’s Rally Time

It’s everyone’s favorite week of the Renovation Challenge! Well, except for the big reveals, of course. 

It’s Rally Time! 

This week, our judges had some fun rallying everyone for the final week of the Challenge. Be sure to watch their commentary for Rally Week.

With only one week to go, it’s time to start putting the finishing touches on all the spaces. Bethany Crisp has so many great tips on selecting your bathroom details, while Tammy Tillery is sharing everything you need to know about dressing up your space with “jewelry.”

Nicole Pankopp gives a great how-to on a custom built-in shelf and shares how her addition is adding value to her home, in part to sponsor Homes.com. Monica Chavez also shares the importance of taking your time in a renovation in case you’d like to sell your home potential buyers will appreciate the attention to detail and install. 

Having built a home, Jill Stout knows a thing or two about adding some serious value to a home and shares all the details this week. 

Making a strong rally cry this week was Lyndsey Ashdown who tiled her entire bathroom from floor to ceiling. The transformation is amazing!

Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh finished up their vanity and moved on to their beautiful herringbone tile install with our Ashwood field tile. Real wood-look tile to last a lifetime. Yes, please! 

In a stunning shift in progress, Jessie Ecker built a 4-foot niche in her new master shower and kicked off tile work to really see things start to take shape with only one week left to go.  Emily Buys gives us all the details on grouting as she’s created a mix of tiles in her shower. Check out her niche for a little pop to tie the bathroom together. 

Chelsea Johnson built a barn door from scratch and is give you the step-by-step to create this piece in your home. 

We know that renovating any space, let alone in six weeks can bring its own set of challenges and Carmen Smith talks about her challenges and shares how you can turn design challenges into value in your home.  

With only one more week to go, we can barely contain our excitement to see the final reveals. Our amazing designers have been hard at work transforming their homes and we hope you’ve enjoyed following along and getting some helpful tips along the way.
